Working on a project and could use a little extra help? Welcome to our 'Helping Hands' Studio Time. We are here for you!
We can help with:
- Basics like reading a garment pattern, cutting out fabric for a garment, choosing pattern size, or taking on a specific sewing technique for the first time. Let us help demystify the sewing process!
- Please note, some sewing experience is required; helping hands sessions are not the right format for learning to sew from scratch - a class specifically designed to teach sewing will be better suited to your needs.
- Please note, this format is also not designed to work through a garment from start to finish. We do not hold these sessions on a regular basis and can't guarantee space in a future session.
- Helping with intermediate sewing techniques like button holes, pockets, zippers, facings.
- We can help with basic fitting adjustments and pattern alterations.
- Not sure if 'Helping Hands' Studio Time is right for you? Send us an email here and we can help you decide.
- Ages 16+
What's Included:
A 'Helping Hands' session is 4 or 2 hours long and includes a dedicated sewing spot and access to a serger, ironing stations, our giant cutting table with self-healing cutting mat, our changeroom, washroom and kitchenette. Please note, we limit Helping Hands participants to 3 at a time so everyone gets lots of help! Please note that participants must bring their own sewing machine and all materials needed for their project.
