$185.00 Sale priceWe love a dressing gown to have close at hand for chilly mornings here in YEG! Heading into the holidays this is a perfect project to gift yourself or a loved one.
THE PATTERN: Easy like Sunday morning, wrap up and settle in! The Sunday from Merchant & Mills is a traditional unisex dressing gown with optional inner tie, patch pockets and a shawl collar. Size XXS - XXL. (Please note our sample has been sewn up in a sweatshirting fabric, however the pattern is intended for a woven and we recommend working with a woven your first time sewing this pattern.)
DESCRIPTION: skills you'll learn in this workshop:
- Reading sewing patterns and size charts.
- Laying out and cutting sewing patterns.
- Shawl collar construction
WHEN: This workshop is in two sessions:
- Session 1: Thursday Dec 3rd 5:30-8:30pm
- Session 2: Saturday Dec 5th 9:30-4:00pm (0.5hrs for lunch)
- Please note there may be some homework sewing between sessions.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: The price of the workshop includes instruction, the digital pattern & a printout of the pattern.
WHAT'S NOT: We have not included any fabric or supplies for this project so you can choose what you'd like. We will provide guidance for choosing appropriate fabric/supplies to participants. If you'd like to purchase your fabric/supplies at Former + Latter we are happy to offer a 15% discount.
Participants are asked to bring their sewing machines. Please also bring all your personal sewing tools (seam ripper, scissors, snips, tape measure, etc).
OTHER INFO: Sewists must be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine and have spent some time using their machine for simple projects. This class is suited for any sewist with some experience under their belt!
Minimum age is 16 years.
*Please ensure your sewing machine is in good working order. We request that you bring all your machine accessories and manual.

Payment in full is required to book a spot in our workshop and due to the limited number of spaces available registration is non-refundable. Discounts cannot be applied to classes. Up to two weeks in advance of the workshop, participation can be transferred to another sewist.
All participants will be contacted by email one to two weeks prior to the workshop with all the necessary details for the workshop.
The workshop is located in our Brick and Mortar retail store and we ask all participants to be respectful of the space, equipment, other participants and shoppers.
The workshop will require the use of sewing machines, pins, needles, irons, cutting tools (scissors and rotary cutters), etc. By your participation in any class, workshop, lesson, or workspace usage, you agree to release and hold harmless Former and Latter Fabrics, it’s instructors, and employees from any and all claims and liability related to any accident that may arise as a result.
