This denim is a very dark charcoal/navy. The lengthwise yarn (warp) has a paler core, which means will fade to a grey-blue in areas of abrasion (similar to traditional denim). We recommend a little extra TLC with this beautiful denim; we'd highly suggest hand wash and hang to dry to avoid unwanted fade lines along creases that sometimes can occur during machine washing. Because it is so dark, the fade will be more apparent than typical denims AND if handled tenderly will result in an amazing patina!
It is 12oz denim has approximately 10% crosswise stretch which makes it perfect for any of your favorite denim patterns. We see it as a well loved pair of jeans, an incredible jacket or denim skirt.
Raw denim; unwashed and untreated to ensure the longest longest possible lifespan for your beloved garment. It will 'patina' with time, visually telling its life story.

We recommend storing your denim rolled. If colour fastness is important, presoaking in a dye setting agent, or vinegar solution can help. We always recommend pre-washing/drying your fabric in the same manner as you intend to wash the finished garment.
For This particular denim we recommend hand washing and hang to dry.
