Add some colour and personality to your makes with a little embroidery! In this workshop, Carley of Nest Embirdery will walk you through the techniques, tips and tricks to add hand embroidered embellishment to your garments.
Students will be provided with all of the embroidery supplies needed, including embroidery floss, needles, hoops, and a variety of smaller scale designs to work with. Students can also bring a design of their own and Carley will show you how to prep your design for stitching. We recommend bringing one garment to work on (and an extra in case you are speedy). At the end of the class, you will be able to take home any supplies that you were working with to complete your project. Tea and Coffee will also be provided.
This class is beginner friendly, but all levels are welcome! The class size is limited to 10 people. Since the art of embroidery is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace, work may be required outside of class to complete your piece of art.

PRICE: $70 CAD
Payment in full is required to book a spot in our workshop and due to the limited number of spaces available registration is non-refundable. Discounts cannot be applied to classes. Up to two weeks in advance of the workshop, participation can be transferred to another sewist.
The workshop is located in our Brick and Mortar retail store and we ask all participants to be respectful of the space, equipment, other participants and shoppers.
Lockable storage room is available for sewists to store machines and personal supplies overnight.
The workshop will require the use of hand sewing needles, cutting tools (scissors), etc. By your participation in any class, workshop, lesson, or workspace usage, you agree to release and hold harmless Former and Latter Fabrics, it’s instructors, and employees from any and all claims and liability related to any accident that may arise as a result.
